We have an exciting opportunity in our Data Architecture, Transformation, and Analytics Branch (DATA) for an Economic Analyst with strong research and analysis skills.
As an Economic Analyst you will contribute to the achievement of the organization’s mission by conducting comprehensive economic and labor market research, delivering products and services at the local and state level, providing technical support to clients, and operating as the informational and communications link between the department, the customers, and the general public.
Duties:
Direct and oversee program evaluations – including researching, measuring, estimating, and analyzing – and forecasting economic, employment, or labor market behavior, impacts, or trends.
Conceive, design, and initiate all aspects of studies conducted within the program evaluation area.
Document research methodologies to ensure reproducibility, standardization, and quality of studies.
Gather, input, prepare and clean raw data to use in analyses, forecasts, and program activities.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree or equivalent in a Ph.D. program in economics, public finance or closely allied field.
Three (3) years of professional experience in economic analysis*.
