The Brookings Institution is a nonprofit public policy organization in Washington, DC. Our mission is to conduct research that leads to new ideas for solving problems facing society at the local, national, and global level.
The mission of the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy is to improve the quality and efficacy of fiscal and monetary policies and public understanding of them.
The Alice Rivlin Fellow in the Hutchins Center will conduct high quality research focused on fiscal policy broadly defined (as Rivlin herself did) to include to include such topics as federal benefits, taxes, budget process, debt and deficits, fiscal federalism, and public investment.
The position is available either as a dissertation fellowship or as a post-doc. The position will be for a one- or two-year term, as determined by Brookings and the candidate. The Fellow will be in residence at Brookings. The expected salary is in the mid 80's and offers benefits.
