The Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College is seeking candidates for a full-time non-tenure track position beginning in Fall 2022. This is potentially a renewable position, contingent on budgetary approvals. Compensation is very competitive.

Successful candidate will be expected to play a full role in the Masters’ program in Applied Economics and, possibly, in the newly-launched MS in Applied Analytics, depending on the candidate's background and skills. Duties include active supervision of student research projects, student advisement, and teaching in the program. The program is offered both in face-to-face and online modalities; preference will be given to candidates who have successfully taught in both modalities. Preference will also be given to candidates who can teach a variety of core courses such as Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Theory, Data Analysis and Econometrics, as well as analytics-oriented electives, particularly in the area of Machine Learning and AI.

Qualifications

Completed PhD in Economics or a closely related quantitative field and a record of excellent teaching and student engagement are required, with a preference for candidates who also have industry experience.
