Opportunities exist to join the Department of Economics at Deakin University as Senior Lecturer (Advanced Assistant Professor)/Associate Professor/Full Professor in Economics.

The successful candidates will undertake outstanding research, be passionate about delivering excellent teaching, and provide mentoring to junior academics and PhD students.

The positions are open to any field, but preference will be given to candidates with expertise on econometrics, microeconomics and macroeconomics. Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

Our research has been rated “above world standard” by the Australian Federal Government’s Excellence in Research in Australia in 2018. Our research strengths lie in Economic Theory, Applied Economics, and Econometrics. We run a PhD program with significant coursework component, host several workshops and conferences every year, and provide a vibrant and stimulating research environment.

These are full-time, continuing positions based in Melbourne, the cultural capital of Australia, world renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, prominent sporting events and festivities, fantastic restaurants, parks and sports clubs, as well as its close proximity to beautiful landscapes and countryside.
