The University of Neuchâtel invites applications for a position of
Professor in Applied Macro-Economics
Job description: The successful candidate will teach in the Bachelor of Science in Economics program and in the Master of Applied Economics. The tenured person will be interested in the quantitative analysis of macroeconomic issues relevant for private and public entities, including at the regional level, and for macroeconomic questions related to monetary and exchange rate policies.
Requirements: Candidates should have a PhD in Economics or a related field, strong teaching abilities and a record of publications in leading academic journals or ongoing research with strong potential. A good knowledge of the Swiss macroeconomic policies and the institutions in charge of them would be an advantage. The teaching languages are French and English. Non-French speakers are expected to teach in French after a two-year period.
Starting date: August 1st, 2023 or upon agreement.
