New Mexico Tech (NMT), a doctorate-granting research university in central New Mexico, invites applications for a 9-month full-time instructional faculty in management, with a preference for candidates passionate about teaching excellence and leadership development. The initial appointment will be renewable for three years, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position contingent upon the performance and availability of funds. The title can be negotiable as visiting assistant professor or instructor of management. The position carries appointments in teaching (60%) and services (40%). Teaching will be 18 credits per year (9 credits each semester; spring/fall). The initial teaching responsibilities include principle-level accounting (two semesters), microeconomics, macroeconomics, and upper-division engineering economics. The services responsibility is associated primarily with student advising and coordinating our nationally-ranked graduate program in engineering management. The graduate coordinator role involves organizing recruitment events, managing alumni relations, and potentially organizing a one-credit graduate colloquium. The position will start 08/2022.
