Position: Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics
(9-month tenure-track, 80% Research, 20% Teaching)
Subject: Economics of Sustainable Agricultural Production

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: 1) develop a nationally-recognized research program focusing on the economics of sustainable agricultural production including such topics as soil health, climate change, carbon sequestration, water quality and quantity, precision agriculture adoption and management, and environmental service markets; 2) teach graduate or undergraduate courses in the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics; 3) publish in high quality disciplinary and multidisciplinary journals; 4) acquire extramural funding; 5) mentor and supervise students; and 6) participate in service activities of the Department, College, University, and profession. The expected start date is January 1, 2023.
Candidates whose research focuses on commodity crop production are especially encouraged to apply.
Qualifications: Ph.D., or ABD with an expected completion date before January 1, 2023, in agricultural economics, economics, or closely related field; excellent communication skills; ability to work in disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams.
