Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Office of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) is seeking applicants with, or nearing completion of, a Ph.D. in Economics or similarly quantitative field.

CAPE conducts objective analyses for the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense on issues affecting the full spectrum of DoD programs. We are part think tank, part consulting firm, and part investigative agency. Our analysts come from various academic backgrounds but all work together with the broad job title of “Operations Research Analyst.”

CAPE work is dynamic, quantitative, and impactful. As a CAPE analyst, you’ll conduct data and policy analysis spanning health, labor, public, and other applied economics topics, so you should have a desire to acquire knowledge beyond your expertise. You will have the opportunity to brief senior DoD leaders, so excellent communication skills are essential. You will also: work in a team-based environment; have opportunities for travel and professional development; and have access to the many Pentagon amenities.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be able to obtain and retain a TS or TS/SCI security clearance.

CAPE is an equal opportunity employer and strives to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
