The Department of Economics at James Madison University invites applications for two tenure-track appointments at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2023. Teaching load is 3/3 with no more than 2 preparations each semester and will include introductory economics. Ability to teach applied microeconomics, econometrics, and/or environmental economics is desirable.

Candidates should have a PhD or ABD in economics with expected completion by August 1, 2023. Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and a productive agenda for scholarly research.
