Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at the University of Bergen, Norway, invites applications for a tenure-track (7 years) position as Associate Professor in the Fintech area of Finance. Towards the end of the period, the candidate will be evaluated for a tenured position as a Full Professor according to national and internal guidelines and requirements. We are looking for an excellent economist with a PhD in economics or finance. The degree should normally be from the last five years. The Associate Professor will be expected to teach and supervise at all levels, and to engage in other tasks at the department. Applicants must have demonstrated ability to publish research at a high international level in the Fintech area of Finance, and have a promising pipeline of working papers. Examples of research areas include P2P lending, Cryptocurrencies, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and Central bank digital currencies (CBDC).

The position includes competitive salary and low teaching load. Additionally, the Department of Economics has a bonus system for publications in selected journals.
