The Department of Economics has one opening for a full time Lecturer for three semesters beginning Spring 2023. The initial contract will be for the Spring 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters. Subsequent one year appointments are dependent upon performance and departmental needs.
The teaching load is four sections per semester with section sizes between 15 and 45 students. The successful applicant may be asked to teach one or more of the following courses: applied business statistics, principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, macro/monetary theory, junior and senior level economics classes or graduate classes.
• PhD in Economics; ABDs will be considered, so long as it is clear that degree will be conferred by appointment start date.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
• An active research agenda (or ability to otherwise satisfy AACSB accreditation standards).
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preference will be given to those applicants who have demonstrated teaching excellence in classes where the applicant was the instructor of record.
