The Department of Economics (https://www.lsu.edu/business/economics/) invites applications for the Freeport McMoran Endowed Chair of Economics. This position will carry tenure at the rank of full professor. The Department of Economics has strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S, and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. The successful scholar is expected to have an outstanding record of high-quality research and productivity, and an active research agenda that would result in future publications in top-tier economics journals. The Committee will begin reviewing applications after October 31, 2022 and continue until the position is filled.

Applicants should submit a cover letter describing their interest in the position, research agenda, and teaching experience; a curriculum vita that includes a list of three references; and a sample of research papers.
