The Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) in Saudi Arabia invites applications for the position of Economist/Senior Economist in its Insights and Economic Research Unit (IER). We are looking for recent Ph. Ds as well as candidates with professional experience to join our team.

The MEP serves as the economic advisory arm for the Saudi government. MEP’s economists conduct research, analyze and evaluate policy proposals.

In this role, you would review and evaluate proposed policies and mega projects, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and develop/use simple models to quantify your findings.


Qualifications and requirements:
• a Ph.D. in economics with an empirical focus;
• a strong interest in policy evaluation and cost-benefit analysis;
• and excellent writing and communication skills in English.
