The Economics Department at Stonehill College invites applications for a tenure-track macroeconomist position beginning in Fall 2023. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in teaching undergraduates, especially Intermediate Macroeconomics, Microeconomic Principles, and Macroeconomic Principles. That person must show clear potential for scholarly contributions; a record of scholarly accomplishment is desirable. Relevant experience in teaching International Finance, or other electives that complement our department’s existing strengths is also helpful.
Responsibilities include a 3-3 teaching load, research and professional activity, advising, and service. Faculty development support, is available, including startup funds and an early career course release.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in hand, or verifiably expect to defend by July 2023. We prefer candidates with research in macroeconomics with an empirical component, experience teaching as the instructor of record, and a demonstrated interest in the importance of diversity, equity inclusion, and social justice in education.
The Economics Department offers a B.A. and is housed in Stonehill’s Meehan School of Business, alongside the College’s AACSB-accredited undergraduate business programs.
