The Smith College Economics Department invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track/tenured position in macroeconomics, to begin July 1, 2023. Successful candidates should have an active research program and should be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Candidates for the rank of Associate or Full Professor must provide evidence of a strong scholarly record, and we welcome applications from candidates working in industry, government, or policy institutions. Smith College has a 2/2 teaching load, and teaching responsibilities for this position will regularly include Introductory and/or Intermediate Macroeconomics, as well as macro-oriented electives in the candidate’s area of specialization. Ph.D. in Economics or relevant field is expected by the time of appointment. Candidates from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
