Full Text of JOE Listing:

The USITC is an independent federal agency that provides objective economic assessments of government policies, commercial practices, and other issues related to international trade and investment. The agency is consistently ranked as one of best places to work among federal agencies. USITC Economists work in multi-disciplinary teams to provide econometric, survey, and modeling expertise in USITC studies for the President, the U.S. Trade Representative, and Congress.

Economists contribute to Commission reports, engage in strategic research initiatives, and participate in research groups (e.g., gravity.usitc.gov). They have access to international trade experts, data and other research resources, training opportunities, travel to domestic and international conferences, and an active seminar series and visiting scholar program.
