The Department of Agricultural Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant-Professor level in Management and Agrifood Markets, Agricultural and Resource Economics. We seek applicants with expertise in Agrifood Markets and Agricultural and Resource Economics. The area of research of the candidate must address the behavior of households, both in rural and urban areas, and the organization and performance of markets and agrifood value chains.
The successful applicant is expected to establish an externally funded and internationally recognized research program in Agrifood Markets and Agricultural and Resource Economics, enthusiastically contribute to graduate and undergraduate advising and teaching, and carry out professional service activities. Undergraduate and graduate teaching will contribute to the understanding of local as well as international agrifood marketing.

Basic qualification: Ph.D. in Economics or similar, received no later than September 2022. Teaching and Postdoctoral experience are desirable but not necessary. The candidate should be able to teach in Spanish.
Candidates should demonstrate exceptional performance, including publications in leading academic journals and plans for developing innovative and ambitious externally funded research programs that will advance knowledge of solutions to important problems in Agrifood Markets and Agricultural and Resource Economics. Candidates should also show potential to work in interdisciplinary research groups.
