Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Economics Department invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in applied economics related to environmental issues. The position entails teaching five undergraduate courses in each academic year. Courses to be covered include introductory classes (micro and macro, as well as a survey class for non-majors) and other upper division courses based on the candidate’s areas of interest and the needs of the department. Because the position will be eligible for the John C. Beyer Endowed Chair title upon reaching the rank of Associate Professor, candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. The position also requires service responsibilities commensurate with this rank.
Pacific is distinguished by its low student-faculty ratio and its mission to provide a superior student-centered learning environment. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. by August, 2023. Pacific is ranked 7th in campus ethnic diversity among California institutions and 31st nationally. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and service. We encourage minorities, persons with disabilities, and other members of traditionally underrepresented groups to apply. University of the Pacific is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer, encouraging excellence through diversity.
