The Research department at the Milken Institute is seeking exceptional candidates in International Finance. Qualified candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills and a Ph.D. in Economics with a solid background in data analysis in financial or macro data analysis and advanced statistical programming skills (R, Stata, etc.). Working knowledge of machine learning techniques or big data analytics would be a plus.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to conduct applied research on issues pertinent at the international, national, and regional levels. The ability to communicate complex, technical concepts concisely and clearly to an audience with various backgrounds and levels of experience is essential.

Responsibilities

Write up findings and recommendations that can be shared with stakeholders;
Conduct sophisticated empirical research in International Finance;
Coordinate research with various policy centers within MI;
Present research findings to technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally;
Requirements

PhD in Economics or related fields;
A minimum of 4 years of experience in conducting quantitative research analysis (international finance data, finance data);
A minimum of 4 years of experience with statistical analysis and programming tools such as R or Stata;
Strong quantitative skills and analytical problem solving required;
