The Department of Economics at the University of Chile is seeking faculty members at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must possess a PhD in Economics by the beginning of the appointment and should show strong research potential and capacity for effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Candidates in all economics fields will be considered. Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, one research paper and three recommendation letters.

Knowledge of Spanish language is not required, but we expect successful applicants to be able to teach in Spanish within a couple of years following the appointment.

We encourage applicants to apply earlier on as we will start interviews on a first arrived first served. We will be interviewing selected candidates online until January, 2022.
