The School of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology seeks to hire a productive scholar with research interests in energy economics, with strong preference given to candidates working on research related to the clean energy transition, energy and climate, and/or energy markets and electrification. Applicants must demonstrate excellent quantitative/empirical skills, have research interests that are synergistic with the School of Economics faculty, and have experience or interest in working in an interdisciplinary context.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach energy and environmental economics field courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and will play an integral role in the School’s Ph.D. program. The School of Economics is a diverse, dynamic, and growing department that is continuing to build on its strengths in applied microeconomics. Georgia Tech is a highly ranked Research I institution with research expenditures exceeding $1 billion and offers significant support and opportunities for collaborative research across complementary disciplines.
