The Department of Economics in Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University has an opening for an open-rank, Professor of Professional Practice beginning Fall 2023. The position is designed for seven three credit hour sections per year; however, if the candidate takes on a significant service role, the teaching load will be reduced to six classes per year. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Economics.

Successful candidates will be able to teach a variety of courses for the Economics Department’s undergraduate program and will have demonstrated experience in the classroom and/or in online instruction. Additional responsibilities will include service to the department. All candidates must start with and maintain qualifications for AACSB accreditation. That includes conducting scholarly research, attending professional conferences and workshops, managing service-learning projects, etc. The appointment is for three years and will be renewed based on maintenance of qualifications, teaching excellence, and professionalism.
