Xavier University, an AACSB accredited university, invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank in the Department of Economics beginning in Fall 2023. We seek an applied microeconomist with fields of specialization in public economics or urban/regional economics. Applicants should be able to teach classes in micro- and macroeconomics at the principles and intermediate levels, as well as electives in their area of specialization. Salary will be competitive, and rank will be commensurate with qualifications. Candidates who apply for appointment at the Associate Professor level should provide evidence of teaching excellence and a record of continuous and current scholarship. Faculty members typically teach nine credit hours per semester. They are expected to be excellent teachers, innovative in their approach to teaching in the undergraduate and MBA programs, and active scholars engaging in individual and collaborative research activity leading to publication in quality outlets. Applicants are expected to have completed their Ph.D. prior to the start of the Fall 2023 semester.
