The Data Science Program at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#457010) at the rank of assistant/associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2023. The position is contingent upon funding.

Our Data Science Program consists of three academic programs and the Data Science Institute. Our academic programs offer degrees at all levels (BS, MS, and PhD), while the Data Science Institute offers students opportunities in data science research and internship. The academic programs are interdisciplinary in nature. Housed directly in the College of Basic and Applied Sciences, the programs involve collaboration between departments including Computer Science, Mathematical Sciences, Economics & Finance, and Information Systems & Analytics. The successful candidate will teach data science and related courses at all levels, advise and mentor students from diverse backgrounds, research and conduct scholarly activities, and provide service to university and community programs.
