The Stanford Environmental and Energy Policy Analysis Center (SEEPAC) is seeking Post-Doctoral Fellows to join Stanford’s vibrant and growing research community at the intersection of economics and sustainability.
Fellows will work closely on joint projects with incoming SEEPAC co-director Hunt Allcott and will also have time for their own research. The position starts in summer 2023 and lasts for either one or two years by mutual agreement. The salary is competitive, and there are no teaching requirements.
Applicants should be graduating this year with a PhD in economics or a closely related area, with primary fields including public economics, industrial organization, and/or environmental economics.
Possible joint projects might include:
* randomized experiments with utilities on energy efficiency and pricing reform;
* studies using Nielsen Homescan and RMS data;
* randomized experiments with firms on eco-labeling and carbon-inclusive pricing;
* measuring corporate social and environmental impact;
* evaluating the climate provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act;
* estimating demand for electric vehicles;
* and/or other projects.
