The Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy at Chapman University seeks up to three two-year research associates, beginning in July 2023. Candidates in the disciplines of economics or philosophy are particularly welcome, but we will seriously consider any candidate interested in pursuing work that cuts across disciplines of social sciences and humanities more broadly.

Research Associates will be expected to teach one course per year. Candidates should have their PhD prior to beginning the position and should address in their cover letter how their research and teaching fit with the mission of the Smith Institute. We seek candidates with the ability to generate and publish research of the highest quality.

Requirements:
PhD in Philosophy, Economics, or relevant field of research; or equivalent prior to beginning the position. Candidate should address in their cover letter how their research and teaching fit with the mission of the Smith Institute.
Knowledge of and with the ability to conduct research in experimental methods.
