The Department of Economics in the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Economics starting Aug 15, 2023. PhD by Aug 15, 2023 is required. We are looking for an empirical economist to conduct research and teach courses in areas such as (not limited to) open economy macroeconomics, international economics, and/or labor economics (micro or macro).
Lindner Economics faculty are recognized for excellence in research, publishing in and serving the leading academic journals, and in teaching, demonstrating innovation and commitment vital to student success. We nurture faculty as impactful thought leaders and empowering professional development within our collegial and diverse community.
Conducting research in one's area of expertise as identified above and maintaining an active, quality publication record. Research is supported with an annual teaching load of nine credit hours until tenure. The candidate is expected to teach econ courses such as but not limited to principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, international economics and crypto economics/digital currencies, both in person and online at the undergrad, graduate and PhD levels; may also serve on committees and provide service to the Dept of Econ and LCB.
