The funds for this post are available for up to 2 years with a possibility of extension to a third year subject to availability of funds.

The Faculty of Economics is looking to hire a post-doctoral candidate starting September 2023. Eligible candidates include those who have recently been awarded a doctoral degree or expect to receive their degree by September 2023. The current funding is guaranteed from the Economic and Social Research Council.

We are looking for candidates with a background/interest in Applied Econometrics, Education, Demand Analysis and Labour. The post is attached to Professor Debopam Bhattacharya's ESRC project on Econometric Demand and Welfare Analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to coauthor papers that form part of the project and to develop independent research. There is flexibility regarding which aspects of the project the candidate will be involved with. The candidate will also be expected to be an active member of the Economics faculty. He/she will also assist with the academic aspects of organising research workshops related to the ESRC grant.
