Tenured/Tenure Track Faculty Position in Public Budgeting and Financial Management

The O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Bloomington invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track appointment in the general field of public budgeting and financial management. While the preferred appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, more advanced candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have completed (or expect to complete prior to appointment) a Ph.D. in economics, public administration, public affairs, business administration, political science, sociology, public policy, or a related field. We seek a strong researcher with the ability to advise doctoral students and to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in any area of public financial administration: public economics, public budgeting, accounting, political economy, fiscal sociology, and/or public financial management. Applicants are expected to develop a record of successful teaching and mentoring of students from all backgrounds and a nationally competitive program of research, including external funding. We are especially interested in applicants with a record of successful teaching and mentoring of students from many backgrounds (including first- generation college students, low-income students, racial and ethnic minorities, women, LGBTQ, etc.). The expected start date is August 1, 2023.
