Full Text of JOE Listing:
Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) at Osaka University invites applicants with experience in empirical research for associate professor (tenure track/tenured) or assistant professor (tenure track) position. Particular emphasis will be placed on areas related to development economics and international economics.
Osaka University is a leading research institution in Japan, it comprises of two departments (OSIPP and Economics Department) and a research institute (ISER), which publishes International Economic Review. In OSIPP, faculty covers multiple disciplines, economics, law, and politics.
Assistant and associate professor terms:
The tenure-track position is at most seven years (conditional on a midterm review in third year), a final tenure review will be after five-and-a-half years. Teaching load until mid-term review is two courses (90 minutes * 15 * 2) per academic year for assistant professor and three courses (90 minutes * 15 * 3) for tenure-track associate professor (explained at interview).
