The Global Research Institute is currently seeking a Senior Research Analyst to support and improve DIGLab’s ongoing efforts to design and implement cutting-edge international development research on digital payments and interoperability, financial inclusion, bridging the digital divide, and reducing the smartphone gender gap with a focus on emerging economies.

The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of research experience, with particular expertise in randomized-controlled trials, survey research, quasi-experimental impact evaluation, and statistical analysis of large datasets. Experience working with high-performance computing environments and applying modern machine-learning methods to analyze big data are preferred, as is experience conducting research in emerging economies and engaging with policymakers and practitioners from the global development community. Depending on qualifications, the successful applicant may hold an affiliate appointment as research faculty in an appropriate department and/or interdisciplinary program at William and Mary. This position is based in Williamsburg, Virginia with opportunities for project-related international travel.
