The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research is at the intersection of either applied microeconomics or macroeconomics and data science. The ideal candidate should have a PhD Economics or related field by the time of the appointment and demonstrate the potential to publish in internationally recognized journals. The jobholder will be expected to participate fully in the intellectual life of the department, to maintain a high-quality research agenda that reaches out to external networks of collaborators as well as contributing to research activities within the Department and the School. The teaching responsibilities will consist of a contribution to core subjects at any level in the research areas of the jobholder, as well as supervision of postgraduate students.

The Department of Economics forms an independent part of Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) - the most research-intensive business school in the UK (REF 2014 and REF2021). With over 40 members of faculty from more than 15 countries, the Department provides an international, collegial and dynamic research environment with a commitment to world-class academic excellence.
