The newly founded Institute for European Policy-Making at Bocconi University, invites applications for 2-year post-doc positions in Economics/Economic Policy, renewable for another 2 years. The start date can be between March and September, 2023.
Candidates must hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in Economics or a closely related field. Successful candidates will demonstrate they have potential for excellence in research and for engagement with faculty colleagues, students, staff, and policy makers at the European level. Assistant Professors with experience in policy advice are also encouraged to apply.
The mission of the Institute is to conduct, debate and disseminate high quality research on the major policy issues facing the EU, its member states and its citizens in a rapidly changing world.
The Institute for European Policy-Making is directed by Daniel Gros, its President is Guido Tabellini and its Vice-president is Sylvie Goulard.
Successful candidates are expected to collaborate with affiliated faculty on joint projects and to contribute to the European debate on major economic policy issues.
Research should be applied and focus on the economic analysis of EU policies and their political economy.
There are no teaching obligations.
Knowledge of Italian is not required.
