Public Finance/Public Policy

New College of Florida invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics with a focus on Public Finance/Public Policy. The candidate must have completed the Ph.D. by time of appointment in Fall 2023. Candidates will be expected to offer courses in Public Finance, Intermediate Microeconomics, and their areas of specialization. Preference will be given to candidates with a research emphasis on the contemporary US public policy. Search committee members will conduct preliminary online interviews in the second week of March.

Teaching and Scholarship Expectations: The teaching load is two courses per semester plus sponsoring individual and group tutorials. In addition to classes and tutorials, visiting faculty members may supervise independent study projects and serve on baccalaureate committees. The successful candidate is expected to maintain a program of research. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to innovative undergraduate liberal arts teaching.
