The Else School of Management at Millsaps College invites applications for a Predoctoral Teaching Fellow in Economics to begin in August of 2023. The position will be one academic year in duration with a total teaching load of four (4) courses, allowing the candidate the necessary flexibility to complete the Ph.D. We seek a teacher-scholar with a strong commitment to student-centered teaching. The successful candidate will teach in-person some combination of principles of economics, intermediate level courses and perhaps an elective course in economics, all at the undergraduate level.

The Else School of Management includes 14 full-time faculty members, and maintains high-quality programs by keeping classes small to support a student-centered participative learning environment. The undergraduate and graduate programs have gained a distinction through the faculty’s commitment to quality teaching and research, experiential learning, international emphasis, and close student-faculty involvement. The programs of the Else School have been recognized by CEO Magazine, Forbes, New European Economy and the Princeton Review.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a master’s degree in Economics and have made substantial progress toward the completion of a Ph.D. in Economics. Teaching experience is required.
