The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a two-year Early Career Cohort Fellowship to begin Fall 2023.
The ideal fellow is a newly minted Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow, or assistant professor committed to an academic career in public policy in the following policy domains: Civil Rights; Voting Rights, Political Organization, and Action. The appointee’s research will have direct relevance to public policy.
The Fellow will receive a stipend of $85,000 and a competitive start-up package for research, discretionary funds to support workshops and attendance at conferences, and relocation support. They will also receive robust mentorship, research support, skills training, and professionalization opportunities.
The Fellow will teach one course per year for each of the two years in residence and devote the remainder of their time to producing peer-reviewed research, as well as potentially advising graduate students in their field.
