The Department of Economics is seeking a scholar who specializes in Health Economics to join the Department as an Assistant or Associate Professor, with level based on qualifications. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellence in research, teaching, and service commensurate with the level of experience. The new faculty member will be expected to contribute to the “1855” (the year Michigan State University was founded) university initiative to support quantitatively oriented researchers who study sources of physical and mental health disparities and evaluate programs and policies intended to reduce them. The 1855 positions include a generous start-up package and the title of “1855 Professor.”
