The Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health (OSPH) at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas invites applications for faculty across all ranks who are committed to outstanding graduate education in health economics and policy. We welcome innovative scholars who will collaborate on projects in medicine, public health, health policy, and health services research. This tenure-track position will serve as a core faculty member for the concentration in health economics and policy for the PhD and MPH programs.
OSPH provides unique academic and research opportunities in Dallas, ranked No. 4 in diversity among U.S. cities. The 7.8 million people in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex are 41% Hispanic and 25% African American. Close to 20% of our region’s population are foreign born, Spanish-speakers only, and lack health insurance.
Qualified candidates should have a doctoral degree in economics, policy, health services research, or related field with excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates with a record of extramural grant support, excellence in teaching, community collaboration, and public sector experience are highly preferred, especially in health care or academic medical center environments. Appointment rank and track will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
