The Department of Economics of the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Economics beginning in August 2024. Review of applications begins on November 1, 2023, and continues until the position is filled. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a PhD in Economics or receive one by September 1, 2024.
Applicants must have a capacity to teach Intermediate Microeconomics, natural resource and environmental economics, and public economics.
Applicants must have strong teaching skills, demonstrated by effective solo teaching (preferred) or at least effective teaching as a TA.
They must have proven success in written and oral communication skills and a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and/or justice.
They must demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusion and the desire to work with students from diverse backgrounds, a strong commitment to undergraduate and liberal arts education, including a strong interest in linking economics to larger human questions inside and outside the discipline.
Candidates must have a commitment to professional growth in teaching.
