The Department of Economics at SUNY–New Paltz invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in Fall 2024. Ph.D. in Economics and teaching experience are required. ABD will be considered if all Ph.D. requirements will be completed prior to August 2024. We are seeking candidates who specialize in Econometrics and Microeconomics with applied research in the area of Industrial Organization, Public Finance, or Energy Economics.
The successful candidate will be expected to regularly teach Principles and Intermediate Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Senior Seminar in Economics. Additional teaching responsibilities include upper-division courses in Industrial Organization, Public Finance, or Energy Economics. Excellence in teaching and an active program of research and publication are expected.
