Applications are invited for a tenure-track position starting on August 17, 2024. The Department of Economics seeks a candidate who is student-oriented and an excellent teacher. The candidate should have an active research agenda. The candidate must also meet Academic Qualification for maintenance of accreditation; and is expected to contribute to Department and School initiatives in the community.

Required Qualifications:
• A Ph.D. in Economics earned by the start date of August 17, 2024.
• Primary field of specialization in environmental economics.
• Demonstrated record of excellent teaching, and an active research agenda.
• Commitment to teaching undergraduates from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds, including first-generation students.

Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD granted after 2021 or 2 PRJ articles in journals ranked C or higher in the ABDC journal quality list.
• Expected to contribute to Department initiatives in the community through research relating to regional issues such as water.

Department Information: The department currently consists of eight faculty members. We offer a BS in Economics, and house BS degrees in Agricultural Business and Environmental Resource Management. Department faculty have a 60/20/20 breakdown for teaching, research, and service responsibilities. Teaching load may be reduced for faculty who remain active in research.
