Auburn University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, nontenure eligible position at the rank of lecturer for the academic year 2024-25. This appointment is for one year and may be renewed by mutual agreement contingent upon availability of funds, the need for services, and satisfactory performance. A successful candidate will teach 4 courses (4 credit hours) per semester including upper-division courses at the undergraduate level. Course assignments may include, but are not limited to, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Public Economics. A Ph.D. in Economics or a related field is required by the time employment begins. Candidates who are able to provide strong evidence of effective teaching and demonstrate an ability to work with diverse populations are desired. Review of applications will begin January 15, 2024. The position will remain open until filled. The candidate selected for this position must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin, and to continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
