Introduction to National Chengchi University
Established in 1927, National Chengchi University (NCCU) is located in Taipei and renowned for its focus on humanities, social sciences and business/management. NCCU has a faculty of 1,400, a student body of 16,000, 12 colleges, 34 departments, 43 master's and 34 doctoral programs, and 10 university-level research centers. NCCU is academically influential and ranked as one of the top-tier and prominent universities in Taiwan. As a truly global university, NCCU also has more than 1,000 international degree-seeking students, 780 international exchange students, and 900 Chinese learning center students.
Position Description
Jointly funded by Taiwanese government and 27 financial institutions, National Chengchi University’s College of Global Banking and Finance aspires to nurture Taiwan’s next generation talents in global banking and finance. The College is now accepting applications for two full-time, tenure-track positions in the field of banking and finance.
All ranks and relevant disciplines will be considered. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, possess a strong research background and an interest in the study of banking and finance. Teaching responsibilities will involve fixed income securities and derivatives courses for the MSc program. The successful candidates are expected to regularly engage with financial practitioners through thesis advising, guest speeches and sometimes co-design courses. The appointments are expected to start in August 2024. The faculty search team will review applications on a rolling basis starting in December 2023 until positions filled.

Junior applicants should have or expect to complete a Ph.D., preferably by June 1, 2024.
Faculty Salary and Benefits
The College’s faculty salary and research allowance are competitive. Faculties are also entitled with retirement pension, national health insurance, and government employee insurance.
