Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics

Location: Kingston

The position is full-time academic year, non-tenure track limited to 06/28/2025 with anticipated renewal.

The University of Rhode Island’s Department of Economics seeks candidates for a non-tenure track, academic year position at the Assistant Teaching Professor level (Fall 2024) with expertise on history of economics, economic history, and/or macroeconomics. Assistant teaching professors have renewable one-year contracts and promotion to Associate Teaching Professor shall follow an evaluation/review of teaching effectiveness and student advising within the college at the end of the fourth year for promotion in the fifth year. Candidates will teach undergraduate courses in economics, including courses on principles of economics (micro and/or macro), competing traditions in economics, and/or macroeconomics.
