Job Description

The Department of Economics and Finance at Idaho State University seeks a highly motivated individual for the position of Visiting Clinical Instructor of Economics for the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 school year. The successful candidate will join our dedicated faculty team and contribute to our excellence in teaching. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about economics and eager to engage in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Key Responsibilities

This position will be teaching four classes per semester. Courses may include Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Econometrics and Money and Banking

Minimum Qualifications

• A Ph.D. or ABD in Economics from an accredited institution

• Demonstrated expertise in the field of economics

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level

Additional Information

You must submit your CV/resume, cover letter, list of three (3) professional references, including current contact information, and teaching statement summarizing your approach to teaching and learning, and evidence of teaching effectiveness (such as course evaluations or teaching portfolio). This position will remain open until it is filled; however, priority consideration will be given to applications received prior to May 20, 2024. Salary will be $65,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
