The Net Zero Industrial Policy Lab at Johns Hopkins is looking for a Post-Doctoral Fellow to conduct research on countries’ economic opportunities in the green energy transition. The lab is embarking on a multi-year project to support the development of smart green industrial policies in multiple countries. In this project, we will map the global industrial base for clean energy technology and assess each countries’ capacity to produce the natural resources and technologies needed to build a net zero world economy. We will then look at countries’ potential in a prospective analysis of where various countries could contribute to a net zero future.

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will lead the analysis of countries’ existing and future potential in the global green economy. We expect this to follow from and build on the methodologies laid out in Hidalgo et al (2007), etc.

This is a two-year full-time research position. The start date is negotiable for the right candidate but we are hoping to hire into the position as soon as possible. Review of applications will begin on September 15, 2024 and continue until a successful candidate is selected.
