The Department of Economics at DePaul University invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of applied microeconomics. We are particularly interested in candidates who employ cutting-edge empirical techniques to examine policy relevant issues related to public, labor, urban, environmental, and health economics.

Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s field of specialty.
- Produce high-quality original research.
- Collaborate with colleagues and actively contribute to the intellectual life of the department.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities.

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field by the start date.
- Demonstrated potential for producing significant contributions to the area of applied microeconomics.
- Strong teaching skills and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.
- Proficiency with modern econometric tools and data analysis techniques.

DePaul University is the largest Catholic university in the nation. The Economics Department is located in the Loop in downtown Chicago and is a part of the Driehaus College of Business, though we also offer undergraduate degrees in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The Department’s graduate programs include a quantitative Master of Science in Economics and an MBA concentration in Business Strategy and Decision-Making.
