Kenyon College invites applications for a joint tenure-track position in the Departments of Environmental Studies (80%) and Economics (20%) starting in July 2025. We seek a broadly trained economist with expertise in environmental, ecological, and/or natural resource economics. We seek candidates who are well-acquainted with environmental economics and who understand the fundamentals of ecological systems. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to excellent teaching, and we seek candidates who will provide inclusive course experiences.

Teaching expectations are 5 courses per year, including offerings such as environmental economics, introductory environmental studies. Additional opportunities exist for interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship within and outside the Environmental Studies Department. We expect a vigorous research program that involves undergraduate students. We encourage applications from all groups historically underrepresented in economics or environmental studies.
