Sun Yat-sen University, founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen and with an educational tradition over 100 years, is a preeminent research, academic, and cultural center and the premier location for talent development in South China. Lingnan College at Sun Yat-sen University is a leading school of economics in China. Its undergraduate and master programs are all ranked as one of the best in China. We invite applications from qualified individuals for Full-time Faculty Positions of all ranks in Economics. Compensation packages are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.


Positions and Requirements:

1. Professor (Tenured)

Have strong academic records, and have made significant achievements and contributions in talent cultivation or academic research that have been widely recognized both domestically and internationally; have significant influence and academic status both domestically and internationally, able to lead the discipline field in striving towards or reaching globally leading standards; have outstanding leadership and organizational skills.

2. Associate Professor (Tenured):
Have strong academic records and have made achievements and contributions in talent cultivation or academic research that have been recognized both domestically and internationally; have strong influence and academic status at home and abroad, able to maintain the academic standards of discipline field; able to become an independent academic leader in the discipline field.

3. Associate Professor (Tenure-track):
Have strong scientific research capabilities, with high-level achievements in talent cultivation or academic research; have some academic influence both domestically and internationally; have the potential to become an academic leader or outstanding scholar in the discipline field.

4. Assistant Professor (Tenure-track):
Have a broad academic horizon, strong innovative thinking skills, and a solid research foundation; have published at least 3 research articles in high-quality academic journals in economics; able to achieve high-level academic results; have substantial potential for academic development.

5. Post-doctoral Fellows (Full-time/Renewable)
Have received a doctoral degree in the past three years and possess an international academic vision, high academic standards, and strong scientific research ability. Have published at least 1 research article in high-quality academic journals in economics. Candidates with outstanding research records and potential will have opportunities to apply to the Yat-sen Postdoctoral Research Fellow Program and receive highly competitive assistant-professor-level packages.
