The Division of Accounting, Finance, MIS, and Economics in the College of Business at Governors State University is seeking applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Economics beginning in August 2025. Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Economics earned by August 2025, A.B.D. candidates in the final stages of completion will be considered.
Demonstrated potential for teaching effectiveness.
Interest in developing and teaching online courses.
Demonstrated potential for research, consistent with the mission of the college.
Ability to write and publish in academic journals.
Applicant must meet AACSB standards for scholarship as “Scholarly Academic (SA).”
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Economics.
Teaching experience or expertise in Microeconomics, Managerial Economics/Industrial Organization, and quantitative analysis.
Experience teaching online courses.
Professional experience.
Knowledge of AACSB accreditation requirements.
